With a Bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, physics or a related discipline and a keen desire to help design engineers be successful using IC chip design software (EDA) your role is essential to our customer success.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide pre- and post-sales technical support to prospects and customers alike.
You will present to sales prospects the technical capabilities of the software applications which EDA Solutions sells. And you will solve software application usage problems our customer brings to our support desk.

What you will be doing
- Provide pre- and post- sales technical support for Siemens EDA Custom IC design tools and flows
- Assist customers with application deployment, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Investigate issues involving EDA software, Linux systems, licensing, networking and cloud infrastructure.
- Support the development, integration and validation of Process Design Kits (PDKs) with semiconductor foundries.
- Architect, build, test and support cloud solutions (AWS) hosting our products
- Develop automation and workflow solutions using scripting languages such as Python, Tcl or C++.
- Create technical documentation, training materials and application notes.
- Work with Siemens EDA support and product development teams to resolve customer issues.
- Support technical evaluations, demonstrations and customer engagements.
- Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows and industry events.
- Provide occasional internal IT and systems support.
What you will bring
- A bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, physics or related discipline
- Practical scripting or programming ability (Python, TCL, C++)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written, verbal and listening communication skills
- Proven ability to work in a team and independently (with minimum supervision)
- Interest in electronics, software, Linux operating systemand computing technologies
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and engineering disciplines.
Desirable
- Ideally, you will have electronic design experience gained as an intern or from your first engineering role post university.
- If you have longer career experience, the role can be tuned to recognise your experience
- Appreciation of the IC design & product lifecycle
- Practical experience of digital / analogue / mixed-signal IC design, verification or EDA tool support
- Linux/Unix operating systems experience
- Experience of networking, system administration or IT infrastructure
- Experience of AWS or cloud-based software-as-a-service (SaaS) environments
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with technical stakeholders
