Fareham, UK. 18/12/2026 — EDA Solutions today announced the launch of EDA Expert, a new video-based interview series designed to help European start-ups and small-to-medium enterprises navigate the increasingly complex landscape of electronic design automation tools and solutions.
The program addresses a critical challenge facing innovative IC design teams: while start-ups and SMEs arguably must be more innovative than large tier 1 and blue chip companies to succeed in the highly competitive custom IC market, they have far fewer resources to explore new solutions. Design teams are constantly fully absorbed in day-to-day project work focussing on their projects, rarely making time to look up and ask “could we do this better?” or “what’s out there to help?”
This challenge has intensified as EDA vendors rush to incorporate AI technology into their solutions. While AI is proving to be phenomenally important and potentially game-changing for IC design productivity, tech markets, including EDA, are succumbing to products simply carrying the AI badge.

EDA Expert specifically targets European start-ups and SMEs working on custom IC design across analog, RF and mixed-signal domains, with additional content relevant to PIC and MEMS design companies.
