EDA Solutions Sole Representative in Europe for Incentia Design Systems
EDA Solutions, sole representative in Europe for Tanner EDA, today announced it has been appointed as the sole representative in Europe for Incentia Design Systems Inc., a leader in timing analysis, logic synthesis and design closure solutions for multi-million-gate nanometre designs.

Incentia's complete suite of industry-leading tools will be available in Europe via EDA Solutions, including: TimeCraft™, a static timing and signal integrity analyser, known for its fast runtime and capability to handle large designs; DesignCraft™, a complete logic synthesis tool that optimizes for area, power, timing, and design-for-testability (DFT); and the ECOCraft-Power and ECOCraft-Timing post-layout solutions for, respectively, leakage power reduction and hold-time/setup-time fixing.

Incentia's design tools are used by leading semiconductor, fabless IC, systems and design-service companies worldwide and have produced numerous customer tape-outs, including those using advanced 40-nanometre technologies and designs over 50 million gates.

"The appointment of EDA Solutions is a natural fit into Incentia's global strategy for greater proliferation of its leading design tools", said Al Lipinski, VP Sales for North America & Europe, Incentia Design Systems, Inc. "We believe that EDA Solutions with its market knowledge and expertise will be well positioned to address cost-effective multi-million gate designs in Europe."

"We are delighted with this appointment by Incentia as its sole European representative for its world-class design tools", said Paul Double, Managing Director of EDA Solutions. "This is a strategically important step for EDA Solutions as the digital design tools from Incentia are an excellent complement to the analogue and mixed-signal tools from Tanner EDA. The combination of these tools, coupled with access to leading technologies through MOSIS, enables us to offer unrivalled access to low-cost ASIC design and supply to major customers throughout Europe."

Additionally, the Incentia design tools, along with the Tanner EDA tools, will be demonstrated in a series of upcoming workshops on mixed-signal ASIC design, hosted by EDA Solutions, in conjunction with Europractice IC Services. Dates and locations of the workshops are:

  • October 18/19 - Fraunhofer IIS, Erlangen, Germany

  • October 25/26 - IMEC, Leuven, Belgium

  • November 8/9 - STFC/RAL, Didcot, near Oxford, UK
