Workshop on Affordable ASIC & MEMS Design and Production for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
With foundries offering semiconductor technologies today at affordable prices, ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) & MEMS (MicroElectroMechanical Systems) developments are now both attractive and genuinely feasible options for SMEs to consider – to add value and functionality to their products while reducing production costs.
The two-day workshop is aimed at engineers from SMEs or universities, and attendees will receive useful information about how to design and produce full custom ASICs and MEMS using standard semiconductor processes. The presentations on the first day will give an overview about the technology, design and production processes. For those requiring a more in-depth understanding, a hands-on training session will take place on the second day and provide guidance through all the stages of the design flow using the CAD Tools.
