EDA Solutions was founded in 2001 to provide Europe wide sales and technical support for Tanner EDA. Tanner offers full custom IC design tools running on Windows-based PCs. The software includes schematic entry, simulation, full custom layout, place and route, design rule checking and LVS modules. The latest product from Tanner EDA, HiPer Verify also offers foundry compatible DRC, allowing the engineer to run DRC using the foundry DRC file written for Calibre or Dracula tools directly.
EDA Solutions are also European representatives for MOSIS. MOSIS provide MPW and low volume wafer fabrication services, including access to ceramic and plastic assembly, for volumes from 40 samples to 1000 200mm wafers per year. We support many foundries including AMIS, IBM and TSMC, and for processes ranging from 1.5um down to 0.13um, including CMOS, BiCMOS and BICMOS SiGe. MOSIS uniquely offer access for any die size, with no minimum die size or tile approach, which means if you want a 1mm by 1mm die sampled, that is what you get. The only minimums that do apply are process lot charges below a certain die size, and plastic assembly lot charges below a certain volume. All pricing is available on the MOSIS website.
